Sayonara Penguin: The Suica Card Mascot To Be Retired in 2026

The beloved Suica penguin mascot, first introduced in 2001, will retire at the end of fiscal year 2026 after 25 years of service. JR East is planning a public campaign to select a new character to carry the baton forward.
